Thank-you to everyone who participated in College Pathways '08!

High school juniors, sophomores and parents - Join VSAC for College Pathways '09, a fun and informative day of college planning workshops and more! The event is held on three different campuses throughout the state during March and April, providing you with hands on college campus exposure - and it's all free (including lunch!).

EVENT DATES

Look for the 2009 dates in early fall. The events will be held at the following sites:

Saint Michael's College, Colchester
Castleton State College, Castleton
Lyndon State College, Lyndonville

SAMPLE AGENDA


The day offers five sessions and a free lunch. Choose a workshop (noted below) for each session.

8:30–9:00 am — Check-in, refreshments and light breakfast

9:00–9:15 am — Welcome

9:15-9:45 am — Guest Speaker: Getting Started with Rusty DeWees

10:00–11:00 am — Session 1

11:15 am –12:00 pm— Session 2 or Lunch

12:15 –1:00 pm — Session 3 or Lunch

1:15–2:15 pm — Session 4

2:30–3:30 pm — Session 5

Each person attending chooses one workshop for each session they plan to attend. Workshops will close once maximum capacity is reached.

Writing a Great Admissions Essay: Part I and II (bag lunch provided)
Discover what colleges look for in your essay and learn how to make it more effective. This two part workshop will give you hands on practice. Leave Session 3 blank on the registration form if you register for this workshop. NOTE: This workshop is intended for students.
