Careers in Health Care Focus of Oct. 25 Presentation

ST. JOHNSBURY — Northeast Kingdom residents interested in entering the job market or changing careers will be able to enjoy a free meal while learning about exciting opportunities in the health care field.

The free health careers event takes place Thursday, Oct. 25, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Community College of Vermont (CCV), 1197 Main Street, St. Johnsbury. It is sponsored by CCV, the Northeastern Vermont Area Health Education Center (AHEC) and the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC).

Eight of the 10 fastest-growing careers are in the health care field. Presenters will provide an overview of these careers and information on education or training required to enter the field. Health care practitioners and students will be on hand to discuss their experiences and answer questions.
