  • Undergraduate student loans for academic year 2008-2009 (PDF) – Education loan programs for the college year beginning in August/September 2008. Information covers eligibility, loan limits, interest rates, fees, repayment options, and savings through VSAC’s special interest rate reduction benefits.

  • Graduate student loans for academic year 2008-2009 (PDF) – Education loan programs for the college year beginning in August/September 2008. Information covers eligibility, loan limits, interest rates, fees, estimated monthly payments, repayment options, and savings through VSAC’s special interest rate reduction benefits.

  • Financial Aid brochure (PDF) – An overview of loan, grant, scholarship, and work-study financial assistance programs offered through VSAC.

  • Financial Aid Workbook (PDF) – A hands-on publication detailing the financial aid process: types of aid, the expected family contribution, tax incentives to help pay college costs, applying for aid, comparing financial aid award letters, and questions to ask of financial aid offices.

  • Law/Bar Loans brochure for academic year 2008-2009 (PDF) – Education loan programs for individuals enrolled in law school or studying for the bar exam. Information covers eligibility, loan limits, interest rates, fees, and repayment options.

  • Medical/Residency Loans brochure for academic year 2008-2009 (PDF) – Education loan programs for individuals enrolled in medical school or participating in a residency program. Information covers eligibility, loan limits, interest rates, fees, and repayment options.

  • Scholarships booklet 2008-2009 (PDF) – Includes one common application, related forms, and detailed information on more than 150 specific private, state, and federal scholarships available to Vermont residents.

Planning for college

  • Adult Outreach brochure (PDF) – Information for adult learners about careers, college or other training, and financial aid.

  • Adult Student Handbook (PDF) – An extensive guide for adults thinking of a career change or going back to school for more education.

  • Planning Guide for Grades 7-12 (PDF) – Information parents need to help their children succeed in middle school and high school. You may request a paper copy by e-mailing publications@vsac.org.

  • VSAC GEAR UP brochure (PDF) – Information on the federal GEAR UP program (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs), which VSAC administers for the State of Vermont. Program encourages students in low-income areas to study hard, stay in school, take academically rigorous courses, explore careers, and strive to add postsecondary education to their future plans. Brochure includes lists of services for students, parents, and schools, in addition to eligibility requirements and program goals.

  • VSAC Mentoring Manual (PDF) – An extensive guide to mentoring students, developed as part of the Vermont State GEAR UP program. Adult mentors provide positive role models to support students' personal development and academic success.

  • VSAC Resources brochure (PDF) – Information about the many services VSAC offers and ways to access this information.

  • VSAC Talent Search brochure (PDF) – Information on a federal program administered through VSAC that identifies and serves low-income students who have the potential to be the first generation in their families to pursue postsecondary education. Includes lists of services for students and parents, in addition to eligibility requirements.

  • VSAC Tutoring Manual (PDF) – An in-depth training and tutoring manual that contains extensive information and activities designed to establish a successful tutoring relationship through the certified VSAC Tutoring program.

  • VT Residency brochure (PDF) – Explanation of the requirements that must be met to be considered a Vermont resident for VSAC grant-awarding purposes.
