Who We Are
The Rutland Education and Information Center is a collaborative effort between VSAC and the Vermont Department of Labor to serve the education and career needs of adults in the Rutland County area.
What We Offer
Visitors to the center can:
- Borrow from a growing library of more than 200 books and videotapes, with information on colleges, preparing for and succeeding in college, alternative education, career development, and financing education costs.
- Use computers with Web access to search college and scholarship databases, submit financial aid applications, explore career opportunities, or access the VSAC Resource Center (VRC) library's online catalog.
- Make an appointment to meet with a VSAC Outreach counselor and get information on:
- grants, loans, and scholarships (including assistance with financial aid applications)
- colleges and universities, graduate programs, vocational/technical schools, and other training opportunities
- career decision-making
- Register for one of the many workshops VSAC offers for adults considering career, education, or life changes.
- Pick up catalogs and brochures from Vermont schools and training programs.
- Access Department of Labor (DOL) services.
Where We Are
The Rutland Education and Information Center is located in the DOL Career Resource Center in the Asa Bloomer Building on Merchants Row in downtown Rutland.
When We're Open
Our hours are 7:45 am-4:30 pm Monday through Thursday, and 9:45 am-4:30 pm Friday.
