New to VSAC Federal Loans?
You may have already received a letter notifying you that the U.S. Department of Education (the Department) transferred the servicing of your loan(s) from the Direct Loan Servicing Center to VSAC Federal Loans (part of the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation). The Department has a team of federal loan servicers that includes VSAC. This team assists the Department by servicing federally-owned loans on the Department’s behalf. Through the Department’s federal loan servicer team, all borrowers of federally-owned loans are provided the support they need to successfully repay their loans. If you need the details of all of your student loans, you can access that information through the Department of Education's National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) at nslds.ed.gov. You will need a FSA ID to access the site; you can get a copy of your FSA ID or request a new FSA ID at fsaid.ed.gov.
