9:00-9:15 am Welcome
9:15-10:00 am Opening Session
10:10-11:10 am 3 Concurrent Session choose one of the following:
  • Estimating VSAC Grants – Case studies using VSAC's methodology.
  • Private Loans Through the Eyes of Students – We’ll cover the application process from start to approval, including the letters, forms and emails your students see.
  • Challenge Grant – Learn about the services provided by the College Access Challenge Grant.
11:20-12:20 3 Concurrent sessions choose one of the following:
  • Where Do I Find It and What Do I do With It? – Where do we find information and assistance to manage all that we do in financial aid?
    Allene Begley Curto, Springfield College of Human Services
  • Grants-Online Reports – In this session we will review all the online reports available to schools in regards to the Vermont Grant Program.
  • Computer Based Financial Literacy –  Introducing financial aid administrators to the array of resources available, to help with their default rate by promoting financial literacy.
12:30-1:30 pm Lunch and VSAC Advisory Meeting
1:40-2:30 pm ConServe-Collection Tips and Techniques
Join ConServe to explore the pieces of the collection process and how to make successful collection calls using negotiation techniques and strategies. ConServe is a provider of accounts receivable management specializing in customized collection solutions for colleges and universities, state guaranty agencies, and the U.S. Department of Education.
