Paying for college

	Paying for College Guide (PDF) – A hands-on publication detailing the financial aid process: types of aid, the expected family contribution, tax incentives to help pay college costs, applying for aid, comparing financial aid award letters, and questions to ask of financial aid offices.
	Scholarships Booklet (PDF) - Open and view the attached PDF or e-mail publications@vsac.org for a copy of our scholarships booklet, with info on more than 150 scholarships available to Vermont residents for the 2010-2011 academic year. Booklet includes application forms for all VSAC-assisted scholarships. For students attending college in 2010–2011, the application deadline for all VSAC-administered scholarships will be March 5, 2010.
	The No-Nonsense Guide to Education Loans for 2009-2010 (PDF) – The straight scoop on undergraduate education loans for academic year 2009-2010: compares Perkins, Stafford, and Parent PLUS federal education loans with private loans. Information looks at loan limits, terms, fees, interest rates, repayment options, and cancellation policies, and outlines the six-step process for education loan financing.
	Undergraduate Student Loans Brochure for 2009–2010 (PDF) – Education loan programs for the college year beginning in August/September 2009. Information covers eligibility, loan limits, interest rates, fees, repayment options, and savings through VSAC’s special interest rate reduction benefits.

• VSAC Mentoring Manual (PDF) – An extensive guide to mentoring students, developed as part of the Vermont State GEAR UP program. Adult mentors provide positive role models to support students' personal development and academic success.

• VSAC Tutoring Manual (PDF) – An in-depth training and tutoring manual that contains extensive information and activities designed to establish a successful tutoring relationship through the certified VSAC Tutoring program.
